Background:

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Project Manager, the Web Developer   will design, develop and maintain all DEEP portal components under the lead of Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist in close collaboration with the Project Manger to achieve the best implantation of the project and to achieve all of its goals and objectives.
The project that is implemented by UNDP/PAPP is seeking qualified candidates for Web Developer Position. The vacancy post will be part of the UNDP’s Project Management Office (PMO) based in Ramallah and under the direct supervision of the project manager.
 
Description of Responsibilities:
Develop new modules or upgrade existing modules for DEEP portal containing, but not limited to, financial modules, grant management modules, microfinance management modules and other related system's modules.
-Create new customized reports or upgrade existing report for existing system
-Analyze and solve application and database related issues.
-Configure Application Server and install system on it.
-Make backup copies of the database, system source code and configuration.
-Provide support for developed systems to DEEP staff and other counterparts’ staff that use DEEP portal.
-Conduct training sessions for DEEP staff and other NGO's that work on DEEP portal.
-Monitor, manage, and maintain application servers for efficient and effective operation.
-Web based applications upgrade plan, including the time schedule requested for implementation.
-Create technical design specifications and documentation

Qualifications :
Education:
-BSC in Computer Science or IT or Any related field.

Experience:
-Minimum of 6 Years Experience in Related Work.
-Good Technical Writing skills ASP.net : Developing asp.net Complete web applications with C# Language using n-tier Architecture and AJAX.
-Sql Server 2005 or later : Developing database with well known in Stored Procedures And Functions, Making Complex Queries and Views, Making Well Normalized Tables and  Relations.
-HTML & DHTML & Javascript : professional Skills in HTML & DHTML & JAVASCRIPT , JAVASCRIPT libraries Such As JQuery, EXTJS will be an advantage.
-CSS & Web Design : Professional Skills in CSS And web design.
-XML & XSLT: Good Skills in XML And XSLT with XPATH AND XQUERY.
-windows server: Good Experience in windows 2003 server configuration.
-Good Experience In Accounting Application or related Application Design.
-Good Experience In Application Design And Analysis.
-Good Experience In Fast Problem Solving.
-Good Knowledge In Human Computer Interaction.
-Good Time Management.
-Good Communication skills.
-Ability to work under pressure.

Language Requirements:
Knowledge in English is preferred.
