Dental Project Officer
The Dental Project Officer will report to the project coordinator and play a crucial role in advocating for a national system for basic school-based oral health care for the children of Palestine, promoting oral health awareness and capacity building of diverse target groups, along with developing and implementing educational programs.

Duties and responsibilities:
In collaboration with the project coordinator and the administrative project officer take part in the development of national school oral health programs with the following related tasks:
Organize and conduct ongoing educational sessions, workshops, and field training for specific health professional and volunteer groups mainly in how to implement school oral health care programs and oral health promotion and conduct oral urgent treatment in the field.
Facilitate practical field training for PMRS staff involved in programs, integrating theoretical workshops when necessary.
Provide ongoing comprehensive training sessions for primary school teachers, emphasizing principles and practices of oral health education.
Continuously conduct field visits to role model schools in coordination with Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Education (MOE) officials to assess and improve initiatives.
Develop educational materials and curriculum plans on oral health for diverse target groups.
Actively contribute to the implementation and management of national awareness campaigns on oral health.
Participate in the development and execution of programs focused on school-based oral health promotion and other initiatives, including technical and financial planning.
Support the establishment of a national system for basic school oral health care through continuous collaboration with MOH and MOE, involving meetings and workshops.
Run project status meetings with PMRS’ Danish partner organization, Dental Health Without Borders.
Perform other related duties as required by the project coordinator.

At least a bachelor’s degree in Dentistry, or a related field
FLUENCY in English and Arabic.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience in community dentistry, especially working with children.
Confident in presenting for a larger audience.
Knowledge in essential computer literacy (word, excel, internet)
Proficiency in project coordination.
Familiarity with public health policies and procedures.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
