BACKGROUND

Doctors Worldwide Turkey is an international humanitarian aid organization who serves medical relief to communities in need through the provision of sustainable medical relief and health based development programs over 40 countries worldwide.
The Deputy is responsible for overseeing ongoing programs and seeking funding, and other tasks as required. Deputy will follow all the projects and activities of DWWT in Palestine under the supervision of the Country Representative.
Doctors worldwide - Turkey is Announcing for job vacancy for Deputy Country Representative Position and invites applicants to submit application According to the following:

Requirements :

-To determine the needs related to the specific aid fields thorough research and field observations.
-To develop project packages in line with the determined needs for the relevant field.
-To make pre-analysis for each project such as stakeholders, risks, needs analysis
-To prepare concepts and project plans based on the pre-analysis.
-To ensure to realize project steps properly and to report the results
-To determine the volunteers needed in the field and report them to the central office.
-To organize the working areas and the equipment, accommodation and other field works in the field before/when the volunteer medical teams are on the field.
-To organize the action plan for the field and to carry out such field works.
-To manage supply process of the projects in compliance with the planned budget.
-To manage the communication and mutual work with the partner institutions.
-To report the risk analysis of the projects and to establish remedial action plan.
-To measure performance indicator results and report them.
-To prepare final reports of the projects.
-To make a need assessment in any other country if it is demanded by the central office.
-To develop and manage the medium/long term capacity building projects.
-To represent the DWW Turkey in government/ regional forums/workshops/seminars /conferences.
-To supervise the project and office teams.
-To implement any other tasks assigned by Country Representative.

Qualifications and skills :

-Proven experience in setting up and managing complex emergency health programs in a humanitarian context, and demonstrated high level skills in program and project coordination, management, mentoring and multi-tasking.
-Bachelor’s degree in related areas
-At least 5 years of working experiences in UN/INGOs/LNGOs. 2 years of management experience.
-Experience working in health clusters/coordinating with other health actors.
-Advanced spoken and written English and Arabic skills. Turkish is desirable.
-Effective computer skills, skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Valid driving license.
-Ability to work under pressure and in unstable environments
-Commitment to upholding DWWT’s Code of conduct and principles
-Cultural sensitivity; previous experience in the region preferred.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Starting: ASAP
Duration: three month Probation, annual contract
Contract: Employee – Fixed Term
Working Hours : Saturday-Thursday 08:00-03:00
Location : DWWT office – Gaza Strip
