Islamic Relief is a humanitarian INGO operating in Palestine in the fields of emergency relief and long-term development. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies for its office in Gaza.


Title: Design Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator
Ref:  DMEC/A/05/2013
Duration: One year, renewable (Full time)

 Main duties:

-  Overall monitoring, review and evaluation of IR projects in Gaza strip.
-  Setting up procedures for data collection and analysis as well as creating mechanisms and formats for both internal and external reporting.
-  Development of indicators and tools that enable IR to measure the overall impact of its work.
-  Working with IR programmes staff to design and institute a specific monitoring and evaluation plan for all existing and new projects, based on IR M&E system.
-  Responsible for training staff and partners in M&E practices, in general, and IR's procedures in particular.
-  Participate in the dissemination of monitoring and evaluation results and feedback into planning of future projects and programs including the preparation of special reports and lessons learned materials.
-  Ensure that IR projects comply with donor monitoring and evaluation requirements for performance measurement and reporting.
-  Support the Programmes staff in projects design, developing logical frameworks, designing and implementing needs assessments, base-line/end-line surveys, and analyzing their results.
-  Conduct regular field visits to project sites to ensure that monitoring systems and data collection tools are accurate and efficient

Candidates must possess the following competencies:

1- Bachelor degree from an accredited University, preferably Master's degree in community development, organisational development (OD) or management.
2- Five years of increasingly responsible experience in projects management, monitoring and evaluation preferably in international NGOs.
3- Excellent Knowledge of Project management theory, principles and practices and their applications to a wide variety of projects transactions and problems.
4- Knowledge of Principles and standard practices of project cycle management.
