Base: Hebron or Tubas with visits to the other WB offices
Contract duration: 1 year (3 months probation period + 9 months) with possibility of extension
Summary of Key Functions and Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Development Program Manager, the Project Manager will follow all the aspects related to the implementation and reporting of the project or sets of activities identified within the supervised project(s), in cooperation with assigned field staff for the project and assigned finance and procurement officers from other departments, the Project Manager will support in the communication with staff of the project partner under the supervision of the line manager.
Specific Objectives and Fields of Responsibility
- Operations Management and Project Implementation
- Responsible of all aspects of finance, administrative and logistics management related to the supervised projects, ensuring knowledge of and adherence to applicable operational systems, donor requirements and WeWorld country strategy;
- Prepare and follow up comprehensive M&E plan, financial plan and work plan, procurement plan and visibility plan in coordination with relevant departments for the supervised project(s);
- Represent WeWorld at relevant meetings with partners and projects stakeholders and in coordination sectoral networks/fora, reporting back to Development Program Manager, Head of Operations, Head of Programs and Country Representative;
- Ensure effective coordination, timely and quality implementation and monitoring of project activities to meet deliverables in accordance with standards, timeline, and budget;
- Ensure budgets are spent according to donor proposals and regulations and within the appropriate timeframe, updating the Program Manager of the financial status of the projects.
- Program Development
- Assist the Program Manager with the identification and design of future projects in different sector emerging from lessons learned and project’s best practices;
- Highlight and bring to the attention of Head of Operations /Program Manager/Head of Programs/Country Representative good practices and opportunities raising from the implementation of the supervised projects;
- Lead or support, according to needs and availability, the project proposal development in coordination with the Programming team (Grant Officer, Head of Programs).
- Staff Management
- Collaborate effectively with Development Program Manager and Area Managers to ensure smooth implementation of the projects’ activities and coordination of field work, and build an effective team
- Work closely with the Development Program Manager in establishing and maintaining collaborative and high performing team and a good working environment.
- Quality Management
- In collaboration with Development Program Manager and MEAL Department, develop and implement constant monitoring systems to improve follow up, transparency and to ensure the best use of WeWorld assets and resources.
- Make sure project activities and reports are delivered in time and with the best quality.
- Support preparation of documents and agenda during field visits and at other relevant projects’ milestones.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of annual reports as well as interim reports as required by donors.
- Perform any other duty as requested by the line manager and Country Representative
- General:
- Deliver high quality results in line with WeWorld strategy, maintaining the good reputation of the organization in all applicable contexts;

Job Requirements:
Qualifications and Knowledge
- An advanced university degree or equivalent in the field of Social or Political Science, Development Studies, International relations, and Project Management
- Good knowledge of main donors’ policies and procedures (in particular AICS, EU among the others)
- Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal and team skills
- Valid and clean driving license
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant working experience in project management
- Experience in Project Cycle Management
- Experience in Project Development and proposal writing.
- Experience in managing projects related to Agriculture, Cooperatives, Income Generation and/or Environmental, Reuse/Recycling
- Previous work experience with international NGOs will be preferred.
- Previous experience in advocacy will be preferred.
- Proven experience in coordinating and manage relationships with international and local partner organizations and donors.

- Proven organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while fostering quality, team spirit and positive working relationships with colleagues.
