The Women’s Centre for Legal Aid and Counseling (WCLAC), an independent Palestinian organization established in 1991, aims to contribute to the establishment of a democratic Palestinian society, based on social justice and equality between women and men. To achieve this aim, the Centre has developed and is further developing, through its activities, a new Palestinian feminist discourse.
WCLAC is looking for a Digital Media Coordinator based in Ramallah. The Digital Media is who will lead and manage the organization’s digital media presence, feed website content, support in developing communication materials, and support in developing and launching advocacy campaigns, especially digital advocacy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Digital Media Development and Management:
- Develop and manage different social media accounts including posting schedules and frequency
- Support creating the daily content on WCLAC’s activities, and suggest new methods to activate WCLAC’s platforms interaction.
- With the support of relevant programmatic staff, design, create, and implement social media campaigns
Website Content and Design:
- Add content for the website in both Arabic and English.
Digital Advocacy Campaigns
- With the support of programmatic teams and external consultants design and launch digital advocacy campaigns to influence policy and decision-making process
- Create WCLAC’s digital storytelling based on its thematic issues
- Capture stories and quality photos of WCLAC activities such as training sessions, conferences, workshops, meetings, etc.
- Support in developing short videos, documentaries, info-graphs, and posters on WCLAC's work and achievements

Professional Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in degree in communication, journalism, business management, or advertising or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with developing and managing social media platforms for non-profit organizations, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
- Ability to think out of the box and translate innovative thinking into practice.
- Strong understanding of online influencing tools and digital advocacy on social media platforms.
- Experience with website management.
- Experience with developing and managing social media.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Very good English and Arabic language skills
- Strong proficiency in writing and creating digital content and publishing across various digital platforms
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive content and messaging.
- Demonstrates women’s rights and feminist approach in media production.
- Demonstrates commitment to WCLAC's mission, vision, and values.
- Good coordination and organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, and address fluctuating priorities and tight deadlines.
- Computer (MS Office including MS Project).
- Demonstrate knowledge in editing software like Photoshop, and Canva, and demonstrate experience in using Illustrators, design, Adobe Premiere programs, and AI will be additional merits.
