for Digitalization Trainer

Background:

Teach For Palestine (TFP) is a Palestinian non-governmental organization established in early 2023. TFP’s mission is to provide quality and inclusive education for all children in Palestine, especially in marginalized and remote areas. The program works to improve school environments by equipping teachers with innovative and effective teaching methodologies, particularly in the use of digital tools to enhance the classroom experience.

TFP is working on developing collective leadership by investing in promising teachers who commit to teaching in vulnerable schools and becoming lifelong advocates for the right of every child to learn in safe and quality learning environments and take action towards achieving this right. The program focuses on equipping the targeted teachers of primary levels with the necessary skills, knowledge, and mindsets to achieve transformative educational outcomes in Palestine.

In line with this, TFP is seeking a qualified Digitalization Trainer to deliver a training program for 22 teachers working in public schools who teach students from grades 1 to 4. The training will focus on empowering teachers to integrate digital technologies effectively into their teaching practices, enhancing student learning outcomes through the use of digital tools, and improving overall educational quality in Palestine.

Objectives:

  • -Build teachers’ capacity to integrate digital tools, AI, and resources to enhance curricula, improve student engagement, and support differentiated learning.

-Equip teachers with the skills to assess student performance using digital assessments, enabling data-driven insights and targeted interventions.

-Strengthen teachers' ability to manage a digital classroom environment, ensuring safe, secure, and effective use of digital technologies.

-Develop teachers’ leadership skills in driving digital learning initiatives, fostering innovation, and promoting STEM integration.

-Raise teachers’ awareness of online safety, encourage creativity, and support the use of digital resources to create interactive, inclusive learning environments.

 

Scope of Work:

The Digitalization Trainer will perform the following tasks:

-Refine and Deliver Targeted Digitalization Training: First, refine training materials based on the MoE approach, then equip teachers with the necessary skills to integrate digital tools, resources, and artificial intelligence into their curricula, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.

-Facilitate Practical Application of Digital Tools: Guide teachers in using digital tools for lesson planning, differentiated learning, student assessment, and classroom management, ensuring personalized and inclusive education.

-Promote Safe and Effective Use of Digital Resources: Raise awareness of online risks and teach best practices for ensuring online safety, as well as fostering creativity and innovation through digital technologies.

-Support the Integration of Advanced Technologies: Provide training on integrating STEM education and virtual reality (VR) technologies, creating interactive, engaging, and immersive learning experiences for students.

Training Modules:

The training will focus on Twelve main units that contribute to achieving the objectives:

Unit One: Introduction to Digital Transformation in Education.

Unit Two: Integrating Digital Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) into Curricula.

Unit Three: Creating and Using Digital Educational Resources for Lower Primary School.

Unit Four: differentiated learning using digital technology.

Unit Five: Digital Assessment.

Unit Six: Managing Digital Classrooms.

Unit Seven: Digital Citizenship and Online Safety.

Unit Eight: Digital Leadership.

Unit Nine: Using Digital Technology to Enhance Creativity.

Unit Ten: Using Digital Technology to Support STEM Learning and Inclusive Learning.

Unit Elven: Opportunities and Challenges with Technology.

Unit Twelve: The Future of Digital Learning in Primary Schools.

Training Methodology

The training methodology will include:

Learning by Doing: Emphasizing practical application and hands-on learning.

Interactive Tools: Utilizing role plays, case studies, and brainstorming sessions.

Resource Utilization: Employing videos, case studies, and group discussions to enhance understanding.

Deliverables:

-Training Sessions: Execute 16 training sessions (8 virtual and 8 face to face) in alignment with the established framework.

-Participant Engagement: Facilitate active engagement among participants and ensure the practical application of acquired knowledge in classroom environments.

-Feedback and Evaluation: Offer constructive feedback and assess participant progress through evaluations and practical assignments.

-Final Report: Prepare a comprehensive final report that includes an analysis of outcomes and actionable recommendations.

Duration and Location:

The assignment will commence on 1st February 2025 and conclude on 24th May 2025 with a total of 16 training sessions (8 virtual – 3 hours for each session and 8 face to face – 6 hours for each session).

Training sessions will be conducted at PRCS – Al Bireh.

Consultant Qualifications:

The ideal Digitalization Trainer should possess the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Advanced degree in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in digital education and training, especially for primary school teachers.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of digital tools and their application in teaching, as well as cybersecurity awareness.
  • Instructional Design: Experience designing and delivering interactive and engaging training sessions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, facilitation, and report-writing skills.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working in the Palestinian educational context or similar settings.

Selection Criteria:

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria and weightings:

  • Relevant Experience (40%): Proven experience in delivering digital education training programs, with a focus on primary school teachers.
  • Methodology and Approach (30%): Quality and clarity of the proposed training methodology, including interactive elements and practical applications.
  • Qualifications and Expertise (10%): Educational qualifications and technical skills related to the role.
  • Cost-Effectiveness (20%): Reasonable and well-structured financial offer.

  • Portfolio/CVs: A portfolio or CV showcasing relevant experience in digital education.
  • Financial Offer: A detailed breakdown of the financial proposal.
