Duration: 8 Months (Renewable)
Salary: Minimum 7.500 Ils - Maximum 8.500 Ils, (Gross Per Month), According To Candidates Previous Experience. This Vacancy Intends To Attract National Candidates.

We work with the most vulnerable communities in the occupied Palestinian Territory.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The position holder will be responsible of all documentation, monitoring and evaluation activities related to the project Food Security Governance of Bedouin pastoralist groups in the Mashreq (Egypt, Jordan, oPt). She/he will report to the Project Manager (PM) and will closely collaborate with the Project Manager for Palestine (PPM), the Oxfam Communications Officer and any other staff working on the project. In particular the key responsibilities of this post are the following:

Task and Responsibilities

-To document projects processes in order to build organisational understanding, learning and capitalisation of approaches, activities and impact.
-To network with local and international partners and provide them with technical support for assuring the compilation/documentation of related information, processes, lessons learnt and success stories of the project (with a special focus on pilot projects);
-To manage the monitoring, reporting and learning system for the project, including the filling of project documents and outputs, keeping record and minutes of the most important meetings, preparing reports to authorities, donors and others, if any, in collaboration with the PM and PPM;
-To collect/integrate and analyse baseline data and contribute to the production of related reports;
-To map all relevant stakeholders (from data gathering, interviews till the production of the final report) and carry out the related power analysis; coordinate with international partners and other relevant stakeholders to ensure harmonization of the stakeholders mapping and analysis in the three countries;
-To support the preparation of articles, policy paper, publications (including the identification of case studies to be documented and published) and visibility material, if any;
-To contribute to the review of training material and provide technical advice for capacity building activities documentation and communication for development implemented by partners;
-To carry out regular evaluations of project activities and provide timely and sound corrective measures if needed;
-To contribute in organising and managing workshops, sub-national meetings among relevant stakeholders and public events;
-To promote the learning process of Oxfam partners with regard to the specific area of competencies related to this position.
-To document life stories from the different actors involved in the Oxfam projects be that herders or farmers (men and women), NGO and Government staff or other actors directly involved in the programme, through observation, interviews, short articles and media clips as well as through contributing to reports and other publications.
-Any other reasonable duties and tasks requested by the PM
-To monitor the involvement of women and women groups in all project activities;

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

-At least 6 years working experience, out of which three in monitoring and/or documentation development processes.
-Previous experience with governance projects, lobbying and advocacy, communication for advocacy and organization of campaigns in a non-profit organization will be considered an asset.
-A Bachelor Degree in a relevant field;
-Very strong knowledge of monitoring and evaluation tools;
-Experienced in stakeholders mapping and analysis;
-Excellent communication skills and participatory approach;
-Strong writing and reporting skill in both English and Arabic;
-Capacity of translating from English to Arabic and vice versa;
-Excellent coordination, networking, advocacy skills;
-Familiar with governance and livelihood related issues;
-Able to organise the job within a complex network of stakeholders and implementing partners;
-Ability to capture the essence of the context and translate it into stories, articles, lessons learnt, media messages;
-Capacity to understand what internal processes can be improved and how;
-Good team player;
-Ready to travel frequently in various locations in oPt, including remote areas and to Jordan and Egypt.

SELECTION CRITERIA

CVs will be pre-selected according to their coherence with the required profile. Selected candidates will be called for interviews and selection tests. Interviews will take place in Jerusalem. Travel costs on account of candidate. The successful candidate will be contracted by Oxfam Italia.
