Driver- Jerusalem and the West Bank

Context  

Turquoise Mountain Levant was established in Jordan in 2018 and leverages the cultural heritage of Jordan and the wider region to train and educate in traditional crafts, deliver sustainable heritage led regeneration for communities, and connect hundreds of artisans to new and sustainable markets. This is an exciting time for the project, as we are growing our operation to support Palestinian artisans, engage Palestinian communities in their heritage, and open up new livelihoods in the craft sector.  

This Role

Responsibilities:

Drive an assigned vehicle for Turquoise Mountain staff, taking team members to locations across Jerusalem, the West Bank and further afield where necessary;
Ensure the safety of the vehicle, the passengers and other road users, following local and international traffic laws and regulations;
Ensure that your driving license, passport and other travel documents are always up-to-date and valid in accordance with local and international traffic laws and regulations;
Help Turquoise Mountain staff to move luggage and other equipment in and out of the vehicle, as required;
Report traffic violations or accidents to your direct manager, following TM’s reporting procedures;

Ensure that vehicle documents are always valid as per local traffic laws, including registration data;
Oversee the maintenance of your vehicle including basic check of oil, battery, brakes, and tires and report any problems to your direct manager;
Ensures the cleanliness and good general condition of your vehicle;
Assists passengers in boarding and disembarking where necessary;
