The French Agency development is recruiting, as soon as possible, a driver

Jerusalem agency

AFD is working in Palestine since almost 20 years under the French Consulate organization umbrella. Today, 11 staff member are working in the Jerusalem agency, 4 expatriates and 7 national staff (among them, one driver).

The agency is recruiting an additional part time driver.

The AFD engages from many years in a proactive policy to integrate and maintain the employment of handicaps.

Position Driver / correspondent

Location 7 Nablus road – Sheikh Jarrah – Jerusalem

Main Responsibilities of the position:

The driver will transport the agency’s agents or the missionaries from the AFD headquarters (or VIP or anyone appointed by the director).

He will transport in West Bank, Gaza, Jerusalem and Israel. The driver must respect the traffic signs, the security rules and the vigilance in his driving.

He will do the shopping for the benefit of the agency.

Ensure the perfect maintenance (interior and exterior) of the vehicles:

Hold the supervision of the administrative and technical books for every vehicle, and the supervision of the fuel consumption of every vehicle.

Manage the administrative part for the vehicles (insurance, technical test etc.)

-          May be required to work for extra days and overtime hours.

Jerusalem Agency

The agency is currently composed of 11 agents.

The driver will work under the authority of the director of the agency or any person designated by him.

He will work in close relation with the director’s assistant or any person acting as temporary employee.

Qualifications

Education

-          Secondary school diploma

Experience

-          Minimum 10 years of experience as a driver

-          Holder of an Israeli driving license : B + C1

Languages

-          Languages : English, Arabic and Hebrew. French is a plus

Clear judicial antecedent.

General Conditions

Part Time (3 days/ week)

Local law contract with fixed term (one year)
