Driver

The ICRC is an independent, neutral organization ensuring humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence. It takes action in response to emergencies and at the same time promotes respect for international humanitarian law and its implementation in national law.

The ICRC office in Nablus, is seeking qualified and motivated Driver to fill in the following position:

Place of Employment         NABLUS

Contract duration               12 months (extendable)

Occupation rate                  100%

Starting Date                       September 2024

• Drives different types of light ICRC vehicles by strictly following internal security and national traffic rules
• Transport goods and people in the West Bank, exceptionally also during evening times and weekends
• Checks equipment on attributed cars, ensures proper fueling and cleaning
• Moves independently in difficult security environments
• Assumes specific administrative tasks

• Secondary school level.
• Valid Driving License, Manual Stick Shift.
• Heavy Vehicle driving license is an asset.
• 5 years' work experience in a similar function.
• Good knowledge of spoken English & Arabic. Hebrew is an asset.
• Driving license for at least 10 years.
• Flexibility in working hours.
• Good knowledge of the area of assignment.
• Masters 4/4 driving and VHF use.
• Basic mechanical skills
• Basic computer skills
