Education Coordinator
The Program:
NRC education program aims to provide safe and inclusive learning opportunities for the most conflict affected children in the West Bank and Gaza, thus, the department provide capacity building and training for teachers and counsellors, PSS activities, educational and learning intervention,
The Position:
The purpose of the Education Coordinator position is to implement delegated Education project portfolio.
Tasks,
- Coordinate the Education projects in West Bank and set up of weekly structured staff meetings.
- Weekly field trips to participate, monitor, provide technical guidance and oversee projects related activities.
- Contribute to coordination with relevant external partners and ensure close collaboration and active engagement of education stakeholders and school community.
- Actively engage in the West Bank EiE WG related meetings and events and support the development of education strategy documents.
- Contribute to development, management, and monitoring of project budgets in cooperation with PM, AM and Education Specialist.
- Responsible for the development of detailed work plans for education projects including implementation and monitoring.
- Responsible for supervision of education activities implementation.
- Contribute to new proposals/concept papers (youth, EiE etc.) in collaboration with PM and Specialist and delivery of accurate, quality project reports within set deadlines.
- Participate in the recruitment of area project staff for education projects.
- Responsible for mapping staff capacity needs, to plan for capacity building initiatives and transferring key skills through on-the-job training and mentoring.
- Ensure that M&E systems and tools are relevant and support the M&E staff to collect and analyse accurate data.
- Responsible for actual vs. budgeted costs and spending plans for allocated education projects to be presented in monthly grant meetings.
- Responsible for Education project resource management and coordination, including procurement planning.
- Undertake any other reasonable task assigned by management.

- Bachelor’s degree in education and/or other relevant related studies
- Experience from working on education project implementation position in a humanitarian/ recovery context.
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
