Education Expert

 

Introduction:
Palestine Technical University has received a grant from The Ministry of Education and Higher Education through the Tertiary Education project financed by the World Bank and the European Commission, to implement the project of “ Enhancing Self- Assessment and Strategic Planning Procedures in Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie “ and intends to apply part of this grant for selection and employment of highly qualified education expert .
Assignment Objective:
The university is considering the selection of a highly qualified education expert to be part of the staff responsible to provide management and coordination for the project activities, and to ensure that the Project is being implemented according to the submitted and approved Grant Implementation Plan (IP).
Minimum Requirements
Master in Education Technologies and Pedagogies or relevant fields.
1-At least Five years documented experience in developing e- enabled courses at school and/ or university levels.
2- At least three years documented experience in mentoring and training on the e- enabled curricula design, development, delivery and evaluation.
3- A documented experience in conducting an advanced best practices training programs which include (needs assessment, training material design and development, training delivery and training evaluation).
4-At least three years Experience in pedagogies and methodology.
Responsibilities:
1- Design and develop training program aims at building the participants’ capacity in pedagogies, methodology and e-learning.
2-Design and develop training program aims at building the participants’ capacity in e- curricula design, development and delivery. The Training program should include the following(Training Objectives , Training Content, Training methodology framework, Training evaluation framework , Training design matrix /outline.
3-Design and develop e- enabled training material installed on a virtual learning environment targeting education specialists. The training program should carefully be designed to have the following main principles:
1- Adapting the e- enabled approach (blended model in e- learning) in training design,
development and delivery.
2- Adapting the learners› centric approach and the hand on techniques during the training program design and delivery.
3- Adapting the results based model in training evaluation
4- Delivery the training program through 10 seminars ( face to face and online)each seminar is of 4 hours period.(40hours)
Deliverables:
- Needs assessment report
- Soft and hard copy of the training program.
-Progress report at the mid of the training program
- Trainees follow up plan
- Trainees evaluation.
- Final progress report.

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie , Tulkarm – Palestine
Time Frame: The duration of the assessment is 4 months, between September 10th, 2009 – December 31st, 2009.
