Education Programme Manager

Save the Children United Kingdom (SC UK) is a leading UK charity fighting for children's rights and delivering immediate and lasting improvement to children's lives worldwide. Through funding from Save the Children Norway, SCUK wants to immediately hire an Education Programme Manager for its operations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. The incumbent to be based in Jerusalem will have the skills and experience to build SCUK’s education programme, and will have technical competencies in analysis and planning, project management, networking, as well as media and advocacy.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Programme development and delivery
Managing and developing staff and partnerships
Reporting and Representation
Raising and managing funds
Media and Advocacy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors degree in Education, Social Sciences, Development or related field (required), and Masters degree in related field (desired)
Minimum of 5 years experience in similar type of work for a similar organization.
Good understanding of the structures, functions and decision-making processes of key educational institutions
and systems.
Demonstrated experience in the programme cycle, from design to implementation to monitoring and evaluation.
Experience in financial management.
Experience in managing a team /partners to achieve stated objectives.
Track record of delivering results and impact at national level or within large scale programmes /operations.
Experience of reviewing strategy, assessing impact and managing change effectively.
Exceptional communication and analytical skills. Fluent in English and Arabic and comfortable building relationships
and delivering advocacy messages to national and international audiences at the highest levels.
Ability to travel extensively in the OPT, the Middle East region and internationally.
