Education Sub-Cluster Coordinator

Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, Health, and Livelihoods throughout the West Bank and Gaza.
Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following vacancy:
Education Sub-Cluster Coordinator based in Gaza at the UNICEF office
Main Responsibilities:
-Identify and contact stakeholders and maintain coordination mechanism with them through distribution of responsibilities, with designated focal points, such as local authorities, UN agencies, (I)NGOs and local communities
-Prepare and chair monthly sub-cluster meetings, finalize and disseminate minutes and follow up on action points with relevant partners
-Information management through gathering and disseminating relevant information, studies and assessments from partners and by maintaining the Gaza part of the Vulnerable School Matrix and if needed develop databases following a crisis and disseminate amongst partners
-Maintain the Gaza advocacy plan, including scenario planning, pre-positioned supplies, assessment forms
-Support the coordination of inter / intra cluster assessments following a crisis and coordinate response
-Support CAP processes, including proposal development, ERF and CERF processes
-Identify gaps in partners capacities and support in preparing and implementing capacity building
Qualifications and Experience:
-University degree (minimum preference at Master’s Degree level) qualification desirably in subjects/ areas of education. Note that work experience may substitute for higher degree qualification.
-A minimum of 2 years experience of responding to first phases of an emergency and 3 years with either the UN and/or NGO.
-Fluency in Arabic and English (verbal and writing).
-Knowledge of humanitarian reform principles, international humanitarian law, inter-connectedness and reform pillars & reform updates
-Knowledge of the Cluster approach guidelines and terms of Reference
