eLearning Management Consultant

Arab American University Jenin (AAUJ) has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF) –

MOEHE through the World Bank Tertiary Education Project to implement the project of «Mathematics Pre-Service Teacher Education Development Program» and intends to apply part of this grant for the recruitment of a highly qualified eLearning Management Consultant

Arab American University announces the following vacancy to be financed as part of the project:

Position: eLearning Management Consultant


Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Project Director, the eLearning Management Consultant will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

1-Manage all aspects of the instructors training on Learning Management Systems use in different levels.
2-Work with instructors to schedule blended learning and apply best tutoring practices.
3-Work with the Project Director to put requirements document for managing eLearning.


Consultancy objectives:
At the end of providing consultancy services, the participants should be able to:
1-Manage the tutoring of learning and assessing activities via learning management systems.
2-Apply best teaching practices within blended learning system, which joins between face-to-face teaching and online tutoring.
3-Overcome obstacles and limitation that would face the implementation of blended learning systems, with the customization upon university policies.


Essential required qualifications, knowledge and competencies:
1-Minimum of 3 years previous experience in eLearning Management.
2-Minimum MSc. in educational technology, computer science or related fields.
3-Experience in eLearning management & blended learning.
4-Excellent experience in computer applications especially in course authoring tools.
5-Internet literate and report writing skills.
6-Adult teaching, training and supporting knowledge.
7-Ability to demonstrate high level of initiative and accountability.
8-Good communication and interpersonal skills and experience in working  ffectively in a multicultural environment.


Expected Outputs and Reports (Deliverables):
1-A training course on how to manage online classes and learning systems
2-A document showing the steps of managing learning –online learning.


Duration of contract: The duration of the assignment is 2 months
Contract Type: Lump Sum.
