Emergency Field Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Emergency Field Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and overseeing the reception, distribution, and record-keeping of humanitarian assistance in Rafah, Gaza. Reporting directly to the Emergency Project Manager. They will collaborate closely with the emergency team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of aid to those in need.

Job Responsibilities:

Receiving Humanitarian Assistance:

• Coordinate and oversee the reception of trucks delivering humanitarian aid.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of received aid shipments.
• Ensure safe and proper storage of incoming assistance materials.

Distribution Planning and Execution:

• Develop comprehensive plans for the distribution of humanitarian aid, considering the needs of the affected population.
• Collaborate with the emergency team to strategize efficient allocation and timely distribution of resources.
• Monitor and supervise the execution of aid distribution activities.
• Record-keeping and Documentation, by maintaining detailed and accurate records of all incoming and outgoing humanitarian assistance.
• Prepare reports on aid inventory, distribution activities, and any relevant documentation as required.
• Ensure compliance with organizational protocols and standards for record-keeping.

Communication and Coordination:

• Collaborate closely with the emergency team and provide regular updates on distribution activities and challenges faced.
• Performs any other related responsibilities and/or special assignments as requested by the supervisor.

Expected Qualifications:

• University degree in a related field with 3-5 years of experience of work within NGOs preferably within humanitarian aid response or emergency response;
• Advanced knowledge using Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office software;
• Fluency in Arabic and English;
• The ability to create and utilize weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as needed;
• Ability to interact well and create positive working relationships with different teams and departments;
• Demonstrated skills to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities;
• Experience keeping clear records of inventory-related projects, and decisions;
• Ready to work for long hours in an emergency response environment
