Background
IREX is an international nonprofit organization providing thought leadership and innovative programs to promote positive lasting change globally. IREX enables local individuals and institutions to build key elements of a vibrant society: quality education and innovative youth development programming, independent media, and strong communities.
In the West Bank and Gaza, IREX is implementing the USAID-funded Partnerships with Youth (PWY) program. The PWY Program expands educational and leadership opportunities for young people aged 14-29 throughout the West Bank by creating sustainable hubs for youth innovation and learning, called Youth Development Resource Centers (YDRCs). PWY supports YDRCs throughout the West Bank to offer otherwise unavailable services and programming for youth to prepare them for a successful transition to adulthood and help ensure economic and civic participation in their communities.
Objectives:
The main purpose of the consultancy is to update the employability training manual, agenda, sessions plan and other training material, provide Training-of-Trainers in employability skills for employability interns from the various West Bank governorates and write a final report after the ToT. The consultant will help the interns gain knowledge and skills on:
Soft skills necessary to be engaged in the labor market.
Necessary professional skills and tools to work within companies and institutions.
Prepare CVs and how to write effective cover letter.
Communication and Problem solving.
Interview skills.
Understand the techniques employers use in the recruitment process and interviews.
Internship toolkit for youth.
And the interns will be exposed to the Career counseling program – Tamheed- and Ta3mal portal.
Tasks:
The consultant will implement the following tasks:
Review and updates the employability training manual, agenda, sessions plan and other training material in Arabic and English.
Material mentioned above will be submitted to the Youth Program Manager for approval.
Conduct five days employability training workshop to the employability interns.
Write a final report about the process and results of the training in English and submit it to the Youth Program manager
Outputs/Deliverables:
The consultant will produce/complete the following deliverables:
Employability training agenda, session plans, manual and other training material.
Five days training workshop on employability skills.
Final report of 4 pages that covers activities/deliverables completed by interns during training, recommendations and coaching needed to each intern for follow up purposes, lessons learned and what could be improved for next time.
Duration of the Assignment:
The assignment will be implemented over 8 working days from Feb 20, 2018 to March 12, 2018. The level of efforts will be distributed as following:
Two days for preparation of the training agenda, session plan and material in English and Arabic.
Five days of training of trainers for interns. From (4 - 8) March 2018.
One day for the final report about the training.

Consultant Qualifications:
The employability training consultant should have the following qualifications:
Extensive experience in delivering training of trainers for youth.
Effective facilitation, training, and coaching skills.
Extensive hands-on experience in employability skills.
Broad knowledge of youth institutions and work in the country.
Practical experience in dealing with employers and fresh graduates programs.
Knowledge of career counselling programs namely Tamheed and Ta3mal Portal.
Strong communication and writing skills in both English and Arabic languages.
Supervision:
The PWY Youth Program Manager will monitor the consultant’s work progress and will assess implementation of the assignment and submission/completion of all deliverables. The consultant will provide periodic verbal and written progress reports and recommendations.
