Engineer Vacancy

The Friends School -- an over century old KG-12th grade Quaker school in Ramallah and El-Bireh – is seeking to fill the vacancy for:

The two large campuses of the Friends Schools in Ramallah and El-Bireh are undergoing major infrastructural development projects. This is an exciting fulltime, senior level position that needs to commence as soon as possible. The post-holder will be charged with 1) managing project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting; 2) providing technical supervision of school
construction projects; 3) preparing related reports and correspondence to the various international development agencies; and 3) overseeing and programming of general school maintenance.

It is required that the candidate possess :
a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in managing infrastructural projects with international development organizations. It is preferred that the candidate had also received professional project management training. In addition, the school is looking for a candidate with strong communication skills especially in both Arabic and English language, demonstrated computer literacy with basic
knowledge of AUTOCAD and outstanding management abilities. A one year renewable contract will be offered.
