We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented English-Arabic Translator to join our team in Ramallah. This role is ideal for a linguistically talented professional who excels in translation, proofreading, and ensuring accurate communication between Arabic and English in a professional business environment. 

Job Details 

• Position Title: English-Arabic Translator 
• Location: Ramallah 
• Employment Type: Full-time 
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Translation, English Literature, Linguistics, or a related field 
• Experience: 1 year in translation or a similar role. However, new graduates are encouraged to apply. 
• Languages: Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) 

Role Overview 

As an English-Arabic Translator, you will be responsible for translating, editing, and proofreading documents to ensure clear, accurate, and contextually appropriate communication between English and Arabic. You will work on a variety of materials, including business reports, contracts, presentations, marketing materials, and official correspondence.

Key Responsibilities 

Translation & Editing 

• Accurately translate written documents from English to Arabic and vice versa while preserving meaning and context. 
•  Edit and proofread translated documents to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy. 
•  Ensure translations adhere to industry terminology, corporate language, and cultural nuances. 
• Work on a variety of materials, including business contracts, reports, presentations, and internal communications. 

Language & Content Adaptation 

• Localize content for different audiences while maintaining accuracy and intent. 
•  Ensure translated materials are grammatically correct and contextually appropriate. 
•  Verify that translated content aligns with company policies and brand tone. 

Communication & Coordination 

• Collaborate with various departments to provide accurate translations for company documents. 
•  Assist in interpreting meetings, calls, and presentations as needed. 
•  Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive business documents. 

Research & Quality Assurance 

• Stay updated on language trends, industry-specific terminology, and translation best practices. 
•  Conduct terminology research to ensure precise translations in specialized fields. 
•  Maintain a glossary of frequently used business and technical terms.

Educational & Professional Background: 

Bachelor’s degree in Translation, English Literature, Linguistics, or a related field. 
 1 year in translation or a similar role. However, new graduates are encouraged to apply.   

Language & Technical Skills: 

• Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written) with excellent grammar and composition skills. 
• Strong ability to translate complex texts accurately and effectively. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and translation tools. 
• Knowledge of industry-specific terminology (business, legal, technical) is a plus.
