Project background

The Lutheran World Federation (LWF), Norwegian Church Aid, Danish Church Aid, in partnership with Tinkr (Norwegian- private company) will develop a digital capacity-building program called “Digital Solution for Capacity Building in Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, which creates and enhances employment opportunities, particularly among young people and women. The project will build an educational and development tool that will strengthen the technology ecosystem in Palestine and beyond. The project will develop a digital tool that addresses some of the essential foundations for business growth and development to simultaneously provide a more efficient and targeted competence programme for innovation and entrepreneurship. Along with the tool, the project will develop a competence programme based on the latest research in entrepreneurship and innovation methodology.

Purpose of the consultancy:

As part of the project start phase, the Entrepreneurship Expert will provide technical support and guidance related to the entrepreneurship component.

Reporting and Supervision

The Entrepreneurship Expert will report directly to the Director of The Lutheran World Federation Vocational Training Program.

Functions and Responsibilities

In accordance with Lutheran World Federation (LWF) policy and procedures and to achieve the planned results, the Entrepreneurship expert will:

Review and provide technical input and advice on the project reports related to entrepreneurship and innovation.
Support the project team in organizing and participating in various meetings, mainly in the one-day workshop to be conducted to determine the project direction in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Identify gaps and advice on directions and trends in the field of entrepreneurship and innovations in Palestine.

Membership specifications:

The Entrepreneurship Expert should be on individual’s base
The Entrepreneurship expert will be able to represent a diverse group of stakeholders with technical experience in the Entrepreneurship sector.
Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken Arabic and English language.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills as well as the ability to work in multi-cultural teams/environments, are required.
No sub-contracting will be accepted
Experience in entrepreneurs, start-ups, and employability projects is essential.
Have a professional, accountable, and responsible work ethic.
The Entrepreneurship expert must have a permanent address in Westbank.

Professional Qualifications:

Advanced degree or equivalent technical experience in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Minimum five years’ experience in managing entrepreneurship programs, business incubation and acceleration.
