TVET and Labor Market Programme
To support the Programme Team at the Programme House for Development Cooperation in Al-Bireh, we are looking for a
“EU Assistant Coordinator”
for the implementation of programme activities funded by the “EU support to TVET development in oPT” with the public and private sector partners.
Responsibilities and tasks include but are not limited to:
-support the Project Advisor, EU programme coordinator, and the Local Employment and Training Councils LETCs in conception, management and implementation of programme activities mainly in the following areas:
-preparation and holding of a promotion campaign
-development of “Guidelines for Applicants” for the partnership development projects and support to
projects design and implementation
-Preparation of agreements with lead institutions of the selected projects and support to it`s implementation
-assistance in all matters of procurement of equipment and services according to the project-support documents
-follow up the implementation of the partnership projects with the lead partner to be in line with the
agreed upon action plan for each project
-Identification of projects outputs to be disseminated after evaluation and/or mainstreamed
-organization of dissemination events
-support to the MoEHE and MOL for development of TVET policy with the possible support of
Technical Assistance
-other activities related to the program implementation
-In the context of these sub-components, responsibilities to include:
-planning, design and development of new or follow-on activities;
-ensuring efficient and timely delivery of ongoing project milestones;
-coordination with technical teams of partner institutions;
-management of third party contractors;
-regular reporting and documentation of project progress and impact
-Advising partner institutions in addition to assisting in the preparation of technical reports
-Support of the Programme Coordinator in monitoring, evaluation and reporting
-Support of the Programme Coordinator in management and administration.
Required qualifications:
-University degree in the fields of Economics, Business, Business Administration or another relevant field;
-At least 5 years of professional experience in working in the Palestinian TVET sector or a private sector association or with international organizations in the fields of TVET sector development.
-Excellent project management skills and experiences
-Fluency in English and Arabic (oral and written), knowledge of German would be an asset;
-Ability to work within interdisciplinary teams;
-Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills;
-Computer literacy.
Assignment: Starting October, 2011.
