EU MA Project, Project Coordination Unit Director

About the Project:
In coordination with the EU, Birzeit University,  Al-Quds University, and An Najah National University will implement new Masters programs in Economic and Financial Law as well as Criminal Law. An-Najah is acting as the lead partner on the project and has created a Project Coordination Unit (PCU) to monitor program implementation at all of the three universities for the three year implementation period.

In addition to the creation of these new degrees, the main objective of the project is the enhancement of the legal sector through the provision of specialists in the fields listed above as well as capacity building in the faculties of law at all three universities.

About the Position:

 The Director of the PCU is the contact person between the law faculties and the European Commission services and will be responsible for writing joint reports as well as conducting all administrative follow up for the joint and two separate components (Masters degrees in Criminal Law and Economic and Financial Law, respectively) of the project. The Director of the PCU ensures that recommendations issued by the Steering Committee (composed of the the Deansof law from each of three universities, the EU, and the Ministry of Higher Education) will be implemented. He/she will coordinate with national and international partners and update the manual of internal procedures.

Qualifications:

-MA Degree in Development Studies or similar
-previous, demonstrated experience in Project Management
-knowledge of EU funding and reporting requirements
-fluent English/Arabic
-demonstrated experience with report writing REQUIRED
-experience with coordination
-proven ability to interact with high ranking officials
-professionalism and dedication
-ability to work with strict deadlines

Salary: 1625 euro/month (gross, fixed salary)
