Job Title: Executive Protocol Officer (Permanent Position

Main tasks:
Acknowledging all official contacts towards the mission and taking care of mission protocol issues;
Observing internal and external developments relating to the mission and its management in order to fully brief the HoM and provide him/her with well-established advice and recommendations;
In cooperation with the DHoM and/or other relevant mission staff contributing to drafting plans, directives, standard operation procedures (SOPs), orders and instructions to be approved and/or issued by the HoM;
To contribute to lesson learned exercise and best practices;
Contribute to defining, charting, communicating and coordinating the methodology for policy engagement within the mission;
Supporting Head of Mission in preparing background papers for meetings and related subjects, in coordination with mission support and operational sections and with external counterparts as needed;
To liaise with relevant mission components in the area of all the above mentioned tasks and assignments as deemed appropriate by the HoM;
To support hosting of delegations, press conferences and other public events;
To manage the mission promotional items; To prepare the development and implementation of the visibility Press and Public Information Office (PPIO) budget and procurement procedures;
To update Protocol and PPIO contacts and mailing lists;
To advise on, develop and update the mission’s presence on traditional social networks and website;
To actively propose an increased presence of the mission on new social networks.
To conduct any other tasks and assignments at the request of the HoM and D/HoM.
Qualifications and Experience:
-University degree (minimum 3 years full time studies) in Law, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Communication/Media, Public Information or any other relevant field. An equivalent relevant professional experience of 6 years after successful completion of secondary education in lieu of the required university degree may be considered;
-Minimum of four (4) years professional relevant experience;
-Previous experience from international organizations will be an advantage;
-Developed analytical skills and the ability to work independently;
-Commitment to quality and careful attention to detail ;
-Ability to perform under stress, willingness to work flexible hours, good multi-tasking and
organisational skills;
-An articulate person with excellent interpersonal and team-working skills capable of ensuring
effective communication in a culturally and politically sensitive environment;
-Excellent level of written and spoken English and Arabic. Hebrew desirable;
-Highly IT literate; able to operate Microsoft software, particularly Excel and Power Point
applications, including Word processing and e-mail;
