International Management Group (IMG) is an intergovernmental organisation in the oPt with offices
in Jerusalem, Ramallah and Gaza implementing programmes for the European Union and the Spanish
Development Co-operation

This vacancy is funded by the European Union.

IMG is soliciting applications for the position of local expert for the Palestinian Water Authority and
is looking for a dynamic, highly organised professional person with excellent interpersonal and communication
skills for 12 months with possible extension.

MAIN TASKS: The expert will assist PWA:

1-PWA management of the EU-PA cooperation portfolio in the water and sanitation sector
2-to implement the capacity building components as per the financing agreements provisions and
agreements reached between PWA and EUREP
3-PWA’s Wastewater planning department and the Project Management Unit team in project supervision and monitoring.
4-Identification of priority infrastructure and «soft components» needs (capacity building and studies),
5-Preparation of project documents and proposals as per the identified priority projects,
6-Review all studies and technical dossiers, including detailed reviewing of feasibility and design
studies
7-Drafting the technical components of procurement documents including contract forecasts, contract
notice, invitation to tender, tender evaluation, negotiation report.
8-Monitoring and evaluation all EU funded projects in the water and sanitation sector in Palestine.

Required Qualifications:
-Minimum M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent.
-Good command of written and spoken English (Knowledge of Arabic would be an asset)

Experience:
-Minimum 7 years experience in development/international aid/cooperation;
-Minimum 5 years as a project manager (or equivalent) in the Water and Sanitation sector in the
context of development/international aid/cooperation;
-Minimum 3 years experience with EU/EC contractual and financial procedures;
-Experience in the Public sector financial procedures would be an asset;
-Experience in construction projects with budget over €10 million would be an asset;
Weekly working hours: Sunday to Thursday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm
