Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade) is a nongovernmental organization established in 1998. PalTrade’s purpose is to lead the development of Palestinian trade as a driving force for sustainable national economic growth. As the National Export Development Organization with membership of more than 300 Palestinian leading businesses, PalTrade advocates a competitive, enabling business environment and is dedicated to improving trade competitiveness through trade promotion and capacity building.
PalTrade’s operation and services are guided by sector-based strategies for export development supported by assessment of cross-sectoral opportunities and impediments. These strategies are deployed through a range of services and activities aimed at vitalizing sectors to export to target markets.

Export Development and Information Manager
The Manager will be responsible for:
1-Leading PalTrade’s capacity-building efforts to make Palestinian products and services more competitive in international and domestic markets;
2-leading efforts to develop and support industry sector marketing plans and firm-level assistance for enhancing the marketing and export capacities of the private sector;
3-ensuring that economic and trade development initiatives within PalTrade meet the needs of PalTrade’s members, exporters and producers, and works to facilitate trade for PalTrade’s export members and clients through identifying and promoting trade support services, including customs procedures, banking, freight forwarding, transport, and insurance;
4-leading PalTrade’s efforts to identify and implement resources for training and capacity-building in the delivery of trade support services;
5-leading PalTrade’s efforts to gather, analyze and disseminate market intelligence, trade and key industry data and statistics;
6-ensuring that the knowledge, skills and implementation abilities of PalTrade’s staff meet international standards for service delivery at trade promotion organizations;
7-keeping up to date with information and communications technology product developments, trends and concepts, informing the CEO and other Mangers of new options for improving PalTrade’s information collection and dissemination; and
8-Ensuring that trade information supports the market information management needs of all PalTrade departments.
Qualifications:
An undergraduate or graduate degree in business, marketing, or relevant filed plus seven years work experience, at least three years of which were in directly related field.
Knowledge and Skills:
-First-hand knowledge of local business and industry, preferably through direct experience in the private sector in the West Bank;
-Strong analytical and communication skills;
-Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English;
-Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point and with Internet applications;
-Project management skills - ability to formulate plans, develop budgets, design activities, and manage completion;
-Ability to analyze and draft business plans and marketing plans;
-High level of initiative and excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
-Experience in private sector development and with international donors; and
-Excellent problem solving skills.
