Recruiting: External Evaluator

Position: Consultant

The Hanns Seidel Foundation is an independent German foundation, headquartered in Munich. The foundation implements projects for supporting and empowering the civil society at the community, local and regional levels. Currently the Hanns Seidel Foundation is implementing a three year EU Partnership for Peace Project.

Main Task: Evaluate the project and its outcome and write a 15 page report evaluating the project.

Required Skills and Experiences:

- Knowledge in nature conservation, biology, environmental protection and/or ecology
- Knowledge about the project management circle and knowledge about EU projects
- Experience in writing evaluation reports
- Knowledge about nature conservation standards
- Fluent in English language, spoken, written and reading
- Knowledge of spoken and reading Arabic or Hebrew would be an asset

Other requirements:
-Ability to travel
-Interest to work in a cross-border context

Timing and Deadlines:
The Evaluation contract will be signed in the week 2.5. – 8.5.2016
The Evaluation report has to be submitted no later than 25 working days after contract signature.

Responsibility
The evaluation report will be based on the results and findings of the evaluator obtained during the contracting period. Hence, the evaluator will need to conduct stakeholder interviews, review reports, review data collection and nature park mapping processes as well as their results. S/he furthermore will visit nature parks, review the intermediate result of the project objectives, and evaluate opportunities in nature conservation and eco-tourism that result from the project.
Additionally, close cooperation with the project manager, project coordinator, project accountant and project partner will be necessary. The evaluation report must be submitted in in the English language.
