External Psychiatrist Consultant

Please note that this is NOT an employment call. Engagement will be done based on a Service Contract.

Objective: 

Program of Reducing physical and mental morbidity and mortality in the most vulnerable Palestinian communities affected by the conflict related violence in Hebron Governorate while preserving human dignity is looking for a psychiatrist with experience in providing clinical consultations to the population with Mental health conditions, affected by violence and other living conditions in Hebron governorate or similar contexts.

Specifically:

Provide individual consultations, group sessions, for patients suffering from severe, mild, and common psychiatric disorders.

Provide trainings, and supervision, to the MSF staff on diagnosis and treatment of severe, mild, and common mental health disorders according, upon the request and approval of the person in charge of the Technical Support of the project (TS).

Participate as a member of the mental health team when present and offer supervision and support to psychologists, doctors, and counselors.

Referrals for individual consultation to external MH facilities are possible, reporting this on the data collection tool and informing to the Specialist Mental Health Activity Manager/Mental Health Activity Manager.

Individual consultations shall be conducted in the consultation’s rooms, in the project offices in Hebron face-to-face.

Ensure that proper information on treatment and follow up are informed to each beneficiary and timely collected to monitor the provision of care.

Establish collaboration/communication with medical specialties in the project to achieve a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

The working time is estimated at one day per week in the project offices, with the possibility of extending to two days per week if the number of patients have a relevant increase.

MD degree, specialized training in psychiatry

Essential working experience as a psychiatrist

Experience in training and supervision

English and mission working language (Arabic)

Computer literacy

All documents of application must be in English.
