Female Psychologist

Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an international medical organization, which has been present in the Palestinian territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus.

For the increase of its activities in the Nablus Governorate, MDM is currently looking for qualified
Female candidate to fill the positions of.

Position: Psychologist, full-time
Duration: 12 Month –renewable.

Qualifications and skills:
-University Degree in psychology with clinical experience.
-At least two years of working experience, with NGOs would be an asset.
-Good knowledge of mental health diseases and psychosocial model of interventions
-Sound understanding of child development and experience in working with children
-Ability to recognize children at risk for mental health disorders
-Experience with schools and/or Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE)
-Good knowledge and experience in implementing psycho social services with children at the
community level
-Experience in training, monitoring and evaluation
-Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
-Good command of English and Arabic language (both written and spoken).
-Good computer skills.

Main duties
1-Have the ability and maturity to train the staff at Ministry of Education and Higher Education
(MOEHE) in psychosocial activities, monitor and evaluate the needs of (MOEHE) staff on psychosocial topics.
2-In-depth knowledge and experience (both theory and practice) in psychopathology,
psychopharmacology, psycho-medical, and psychotherapy utilizing various approaches in conducting individual therapy and group therapy
3-Able to monitor and evaluate psychosocial activities.
4-Implement and lead psychosocial activities with primary school children and with the
communities in the area of intervention in Nablus Governorates.
5-Able to create brochures, posters and organize workshops on anti-stigma activities on mental
health issues, psychosocial difficulties among children, parents and the community.
6-Provide sessions such as workshops, support groups, training sessions, public meetings,
community awareness, and psychosocial activities for the community.
7-Participate in the referral system of Nablus Governorates by referring cases to appropriate
structures.
8-Contribute to the implementation of MDM programs in light of the objectives.
9-Establishes and maintain collaborative relationships within Community Mental Health Center
(CMHC) team and with other structures and organizations.
