Field Coordinator
Background:
Stars of Hope Society (SHS), Located in Ramallah, is a non-profit association registered by the Palestinian Authority and founded in 2006 under the charitable Association and civil Bodies.
Stars of Hope Society is a lead organization for women with all types of disabilities in Palestine. It is a woman-centered organization that works on a collective model. Women with disabilities run our organization to help and empower other women with disabilities. It is the only organization of its kind in Palestine and one of a minimal number internationally.
Job Summary
SHS is seeking an experienced Field Coordinator to coordinate, organize and implement numerous activities for different projects under Hemaya Program of SHS in West Bank and Gaza, through which SHS aims to enhance the participation and inclusion of women with disabilities (WwDs) in Palestine. Hemaya Program includes different projects that mainly focus on GBV, protection and access to justice services for women and girls with disabilities. It is expected that the coordinator will work on a group of projects under the GBV and protection area, and will cover all geographical areas in the West Bank.
Summary of essential functions:
- Preparing the monthly plans related to the implementation of projects and participating in the preparation of the quarterly and annual plans for the program
- Coordinating the implementation of various project activities in coordination with the program officer, procurement officer, and field coordinators in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
- Implementation of project-related activities in the field in the West Bank, according to the targeted sites within the projects, which include but are not limited to capacity-building trainings, awareness-raising workshops, conferences, and meetings.
- Follow up on the implementation of project plans so that implementation is adhered to according to the time period specified for each activity.
- Communicate with trainers and facilitators regarding the implementation of activities and the preparation of reports and outputs required for each activity.
- Preparing and submitting supporting papers to prove the expenses included in the financial report.
- Preparing activity reports and filling in follow-up forms periodically.
- Attending team meetings, and representing the organization in various meetings and gatherings when needed.
- Commitment to all values and principles contained in the policy of protecting children with disabilities from violence, abuse, neglect, sexual exploitation and abuse, and commitment to what is stated therein in terms of awareness, prevention, reporting, response and participation.
- Carry out any other tasks requested by the management.

- Bachelor’s degree in social studies, business administration, public administration, or any other relevant fields.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in working with development projects and programs. Experience working with international or non-profit organizations is desirable.
- Preferable, previous relevant experience in working with People with disabilities (PwDs).
- Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills and presentation in Arabic and English.
- Excellent computer skills, MS office, MS Project, Excel functions, and PowerPoint.
- Be highly committed, able to work under pressure, adapt to new situations and meet deadlines.
