Field Coordinator
Overview
Wefaq is an independent and non-profit Palestinian NGO with the purpose of protecting and empowering vulnerable women and children including those with disabilities survivors of GBV through women protection and empowerment, child and family protection program, and communication and advocacy program. While implementing its strategy to fulfil its vision, Wefaq is guided by international human rights principles including equity, equality, non-discrimination, empowerment and participation, accountability, and focus on vulnerable groups.
Wefaq is seeking a Field Coordinator for the (ILEED) project, Wefaq society for Women and Child Care in partnership with Global Communities implementing USAID Improve Livelihoods and Enhance Economic Development (ILEED). This project will focus on promoting resilient livelihoods in Gaza Strip and give households the tools they need to cope with recurrent crises. ILEED will engage both the demand and supply actors within the conflict affected market system. Programs and activities will support the production of and access to basic products and services that community entrepreneurs are already engaged in producing and providing, as well as encourage community entrepreneurs to fill critical service gaps with localized solutions. ILEED will also work to increasing access to resources and basic commodities to support community development and resilience.
Roles and Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement of ILEED project activities in the targeted communities in close collaboration with the ILEED project staff
Assist ILEED project team related to livelihood, community development and resilience coordinators in coordinating and facilitating field work, logistics and outreach to local communities
Assist in organizing and preparing meetings, workshops, and activities related to ILEED project
Coordinate and lead the formation and training of inclusive youth accountability teams in the project locations and provide the needed support and follow up to ensure their engagement and commitment to the project
Liaise and build strong relations with local stakeholders in the project locations including the local authorities, CBOs, CSO’s, and community influencers, and ensure their strong engagement in the project
Coordinate and support the research activities in the project targeted areas
Facilitate and support the planning of community social and economic initiatives and campaigns and follow up on their implementation to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, quality, and compliance
Coordinate logistical support and ensure that the planned activities are carried out effectively and in a timely manner.
Follow-up on the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of deliverables
Prepare for workshops and meetings, prepare minutes and reports accordingly, and follow up on the results with all concerned parties
Support the preparation of success stories, press releases, and other documents, as required
Prepare and provide accurate information on the various activities in timely manner, as per the project M&E plan
Coordination with local committees, CSO’s outreach to the target group and motivate them to participate and cooperate
Participation of the project coordinator in following up on the implementation of various activities according to work plans

QUALIFICATION & CORE COMPETENCIES
Minimum BA in business administration, social sciences, or any other related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in areas related to community development, planning and implementation of social and economic activities
Excellent coordination and networking skills
Excellent communication skills, good command of spoken and written English language is a plus
Proficiency in using MS Windows, MS Office packages (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
