Field Coordinator (Emergency, Liaison, and Risks)
Duties & Responsibilities
Emergency Project Coordination and Implementation:
- Emergency Response: Oversee the rapid execution of emergency humanitarian activities, according to project standards, and allocated resources
- Security Protocols: Implement and oversee security management plans for programme safety.
Liaison and Representation:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with partner organizations, key sector stakeholders in Gaza
- Humanitarian Coordination: Actively represent the organization in UN/NGO Humanitarian Coordination Meetings in Gaza, advocating for urgent project needs and coordinating with the Country Director.
Emergency Project Implementation and Support:
- Rapid Response Coordination: Ensure swift and compliant execution of emergency project activities, working closely with implementing partners and local authorities to address immediate needs.
- Needs Assessments: Lead and conduct urgent needs assessments and monitoring visits to adapt interventions as required.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously analyze project progress under emergency conditions and implement corrective actions to meet objectives.
- Preparedness Planning: Regularly update the Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan for the Gaza office, ensuring readiness for unforeseen crises.
Financial Management:
- Emergency Budget Oversight: Support financial administration for emergency projects, monitor expenditures, and update forecasts in real-time to respond to changing needs.
- Timely Fund Requests: Apply rigorous budget control measures and process fund requests promptly to ensure continuous support during emergencies.
Risk and Security Management:
- Security Updates: Provide timely updates on the evolving security situation and ensure strict adherence to security policies and procedures by the project team.
- Risk Mitigation: Implement proactive measures to reduce risks related to aid diversion and other threats, adapting strategies as the situation evolves.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Donor Reporting: Ensure compliance with donor regulations by reporting on project progress and adherence to agreed schedules, even in rapidly changing conditions.
Operational Standards: Support adherence to organizational standards and humanitarian principles, ensuring high-quality responses and compliance with Core Humanitarian Standards

متطلبات الوظيفة
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, or related field.
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in humanitarian aid or emergency response.
- Proven track record in managing emergency projects, ideally in high-risk settings like Gaza.
- Skills:
- Strong project management and financial oversight skills.
- Experience in security management and rapid response planning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison abilities.
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability in volatile environments.
- Language Skills: Arabic and working knowledge of written and spoken english
- Legal:
- Clean criminal background check and adherence to organizational policies.
