Wefaq is an independent and non-profit Palestinian NGO with the purpose of protecting and empowering vulnerable women and children including those with disabilities survivors of GBV through women protection and empowerment, child and family protection program, and communication and advocacy program. Program Overview
WEFAQ is seeking a Field Coordinator for the (ILEED) program, WEFAQ in partnership with Global Communities implementing USAID Improve Livelihoods and Enhance Economic Development (ILEED). This program will focus on promoting resilient livelihoods in Gaza Strip and give households the tools they need to cope with recurrent crises. ILEED will engage both the demand and supply actors within the conflict affected market system. Program’s activities will support the production of and access to basic products and services that community entrepreneurs are already engaged in producing and providing, as well as encourage community entrepreneurs to fill critical service gaps with localized solutions. ILEED will also work to increasing access to resources and basic commodities to support community development and resilience.
Wefaq is seeking to hire a Field Coordinator to oversee the implementation of field activities, engage with stakeholders, and provide direct support to beneficiaries to ensure the successful delivery of the project’s objectives
The role and Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee day-to-day implementation of ILEED project activities in the field, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines
Collaborate with the project team to develop detailed work plans, set targets, and monitor progress
Conduct regular field visits to assess activity implementation and provide feedback for improvement
Facilitate field-level engagement with beneficiaries, suppliers, consultants, social enterprises, and other economic actors involved in the project
Organize and lead community meetings, focus group discussions, and workshops to promote project awareness and participation
Support the implementation of Rapid Market Assessments (RMA) to identify local suppliers, critical sectors, available materials, and pricing trends
Coordinate and facilitate the engagement of diverse community groups, ensuring inclusive representation and participation in project activities
Assist in receiving applicants, guiding them through the application process, and supporting them in completing forms accurately
Conduct one-to-one sessions with beneficiaries to provide tailored support, address concerns, and ensure their needs align with project interventions
Facilitate market linkage events, workshops, and campaigns to connect local producers with humanitarian and community-based actors
Prepare detailed and accurate field reports, highlighting challenges, achievements, and lessons learned
Collaborate with the M&E team to ensure timely and accurate data collection, contributing to overall project monitoring and evaluation
Assist in preparing success stories, press releases, and other documentation to showcase project impact
Identify potential risks and propose solutions to address challenges in field implementation
Adapt activities to dynamic field conditions, ensuring alignment with the project's adaptive management principles

Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social sciences, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in project coordination or field management, preferably in development or livelihoods-focused projects
Proven experience in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including beneficiaries, suppliers, and consultants
Experience working with micro-businesses, social enterprises, and income-generation activities
Strong understanding of community development principles and market-based approaches
Familiarity with tools and techniques for needs assessments
Experience in facilitating workshops, focus groups, and community meetings
Excellent communication skills in Arabic; proficiency in spoken and written English is a plus
Proficiency in using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Experience with data collection and reporting tools is an advantage
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively in diverse team settings and engage with vulnerable populations
Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic and challenging field conditions
Commitment to principles of inclusivity, equity, and participatory development
