Job summary:
Bayader in partnership with Catholic Relief Services CRS, is on the process to starts implementation of a project that provides rapid and responsive multi-purpose cash, food assistance, shelter and settlements (S&S), water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and protection support to conflict-affected communities in Gaza. The project’s goal is to ensure that conflict-affected households in Gaza meet their immediate needs and strengthen their capacity to shocks. Given the rapidly evolving emergency and changing security environment, a flexible approach is envisioned to be continually adapted in response to field conditions. The project’s objectives are:
- Conflict-affected households meet their basic needs, including food.
- Conflict-affected households live in safe and dignified shelters with access to WASH services.
- Conflict-affected households have improved wellbeing through psychosocial support activities.
Bayader is seeking highly skilled staff to be hired for the following position:
Position Title: Field Distribution Officers (Site Engineers) (FDO) - Full Time
# of Position Available: 4
Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
Reports To: Program Coordinator (PC)
Duration: 8 Months
Targeted Area: Khan Younis Area, currently at Almawassi and subject to change within Khan Younis area per the changed on security context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project activities in the field, ensuring technical quality and standards are met.
- Conduct daily follow-up, track progress, and provide timely feedback.
- Community mobilization, analysis/research, and selection of targeted communities.
- Regular visits to project communities, partner organizations, and project locations.
- Establish a data-based on the current beneficiaries and keep it updated.
- Conduct regular visits to partner organizations and the project locations.
- Provide regular updates on beneficiaries, targeting mechanisms and methods to program coordinator.
- Provide recommendations for improvements in any of the matters listed above.
- Provide the program coordinator with up-to-date overviews of progress on project implementation.
- Coordinate distribution, implementation, and monitoring of interventions at various levels.
- Collect relevant data on activity implementation and monitoring.
- Supports data analysis with project staff and raises or highlights key issues with coordinator.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports.
- Coordinate with different Ministries and local committees, suppliers, and other stakeholders with prior consultation with the program coordinator.
- Ensure compliance with partner and Bayader technical guidelines, standards, and policies.
- Carry others tasks requested by Project Coordinator.

Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from accreted university with at least good grade in civil, architecture or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of field works.
- Experience working within the NGO sector at least 1 years and a strong background in initiating and implementing programs.
- Ability to engage community key figures, potential stakeholders to forge productive working relationships,
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to build effective working relationships with community stakeholders.
- Proven writing skills to prepare quality and analytical reports in English & Arabic.
- Ability to frequently travel to target locations as needed.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Advanced computer literacy: Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Social Media.
- Ability to handle multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work with varied schedules including extensive afternoons and weekends as needed.
