Position Purpose:
As an Agronomist, ensure seamless project implementation for Caritas Jerusalem, aligning activities with policies and donor standards. This position aims to provide efficient field coordination of aspects related to agricultural activities and follow-up on implementation, documentation, monitoring, and evaluation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of civil and agricultural activities, ensuring activities are of high quality and delivered on time.
- Conduct regular field visits and supervision of the assigned project implementation activities.
- Supervise daily workers and contractors.
- Technical review of goods, works, and consultancy services.
- Approve the receiving of works and goods.
- Develop work plans to achieve the agricultural activities in line with project action plans.
- Participate in and follow up on all procurement processes of assigned activities.
- Conduct field visits after implementation in a regular manner to follow up the cultivation process and provide technical assistance including coaching whenever needed to related stakeholders.
- Facilitate and organize regular visits to farmers to enhance awareness and provide evidence-based good agricultural practices.
- Keep the Project Officer and the Senior Projects Coordinator updated about project activities, obstacles, changes, and any action that may affect planned project outputs.
- Close the assigned project activities in a professional manner with all required technical and financial reports without delay as requested by the project Officer and the Senior Projects Coordinator.
- Responsible for facilitating and implementing assigned workshops, training activities, learning events, and visits related to the data collection and filing of necessary documents related to the M&E plan.
- Perform any other duties requested by the Senior Projects Coordinator.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or any other related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project cycle management, ideally in the fields of agroecology, sustainable development, food security, education, and livelihoods.
- Proficient computer skills, project software, and office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Adhere to Caritas Jerusalem's mission and core values.
- Commitment to Caritas Code of Conduct and Safeguarding ethics and policies.
- Experience working with partners, conducting participatory action planning, leading community engagement, and engaging other stakeholders strongly desired.
- Excellent English and Arabic.
- Very good understanding and experience in agricultural engineering, planning, and sciences.
- Ability to work in complex environments, solving problems in the field, and engaging with partners, local committees, and beneficiaries.
- Valid driving license.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
