Position:  Field Monitor
Location: Gaza Strip
Reporting to: Tdh Technical Unit Project Coordinator

 TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

General
-To supervise the social workers operating at the assigned family centers and increase the effectiveness of their work.
-To enhance the capacity of the social workers to optimize all child protection resources at community / family center level by taking the lead in coordinated case management and enforcing the Child Protection Network’s responsibility for effective case management   

Specific tasks
-To support and supervise the performance of outreach work in schools and in the community carried out by the social workers from assigned family centers.
-To support and supervise the performance of all other operational duties assigned to the social workers at the assigned family center:
-Monitoring and assessment of child protection requirements at the assigned family centers
-Coaching and training of the social workers in identification of specific problems and needs of the children
-Assistance to the social workers at identifying a resolution oriented case management strategy for each of their cases 
-Providing active case management assistance to the social workers and the case management team at family center level
-Enforcing, facilitating and following-up on the overall responsibility of the Child Protection Network (CPN) for effective case management, together with the Technical Unit Coordinator
-Coordination of all case related activities of the Child Protection Network (CPN) with the case management of the social workers at the assigned family centers 
-To supervise and harmonize all data collection, documentation and reporting processes performed by the social workers at the assigned family centers.
-To facilitate access of the family center level Case Management to all Child Protection Network (CPN) resources   
-To supervise and document the follow up of referred child cases by social workers through monitoring phone calls and random field visit.
-To supervise and harmonize the regular documentation of the ongoing social work activities through the use of the case management protocols and any other form that will be newly developed or will substitute or upgrade former ones.
-To guarantee the  timely delivery of weekly and monthly activity action planning and progress reporting by social workers and their implementation in accordance with the framework of the project, respecting the needs, traditions and customs of the local community.
-To  harmonize and analyze weekly and monthly activity reports from the social workers, with special attention to obstacles faced and measures taken or proposed to overcome them.
-To contribute to  training  and capacity building activities organized through the project.
-To carry out any other task that is requested by Tdh Technical Unit Project Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCES
-At least 3 years INGO experience in child protection sector at project coordination level. Alternatively, 3 years INGO experience in supervision of social workers would be considered an asset.
-Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet).
-Good writing and reporting skills.
-Arabic native speaker and fluency in English.

-Good communication and training skills.
-Understanding, interest and commitment to humanitarian activities
