In partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS). LHA implementing the Gaza Multi-Sectoral Emergency Response program funded by BHA to provide rapid and responsive multi-purpose cash Assistance, food assistance, shelter and settlements (S&S), water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and protection support to conflict-affected communities in the Gaza Strip. The project’s goal is that conflict-affected households in Gaza and the West Bank survive and begin to recover after the active conflict.
LHA is recruiting candidates for the following positions:
Job Vacancy: Field Monitor
Position Title: Field Monitor – Full Time
Place: Life and Hope Association Office, North Gaza Governorate
Period: 3 months "with possibility of extension"
Reports to: Program Coordinator (PC)
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor the redemption of cash and other humanitarian assistance, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Oversee and verify the cash redemption process from vendors to beneficiaries, provide proper support when relevant, ensuring accountability.
- Maintain accurate beneficiary records during assistance distribution to support reporting and accountability.
- Collaborate with the project team to assess community needs and recommend improvements for responsive multi-purpose cash Assistance, food assistance, shelter and settlements (S&S), water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).
- Ensure compliance with humanitarian principles and standards throughout planning, monitoring, and reporting processes.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on field observations, cash redemption documentation, and challenges encountered.
- Monitor the distribution of In-kind Assistance and other assistance, ensuring timely and equitable delivery.
- Support hygiene promotion activities by distributing relevant messaging and materials to beneficiaries.
- Monitor safety and hygiene practices at distribution sites to ensure a secure environment.
- Prepare and submit reports on field activities, distribution outcomes, and identified issues.
- Perform other related tasks as required during the project

Qualifications:
- University degree in development, business administration, economics, sociology, or related field.
- Minimum one year of progressively responsible work experience in the field of emergency relief.
- Significant experience working on humanitarian assistance and Emergency projects.
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated strengths in relationship management; able to work with diverse groups of people in multicultural, team-oriented environments.
- Understand and work with local contexts (operational and cultural).
- Good writing and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
