Job summary:
Islamic Relief worldwide Palestine office in partnership with Bayader is in the process to start implementation of project Trees planting in Palestine / Gaza Project ” and funded by Islamic Relief Canada.
The proposed action aims to support 257 small farmers (1-3 donums) in the Gaza Strip who need assistance to cultivate their lands with olive trees and different types of field corps which are well suited to the environment in Gaza and generate regular income which will highly support their livelihoods, and also participate in increasing the green area and thus protecting the Environment.
Furthermore, small farmers will be supported by small grants (cash for agriculture) that would help them to purchase the essential equipment and tools needed in farming and cultivation lands.
Within this project, Bayader is recruiting candidates for the following position:
Position Title: Field Monitor (FM) – Full Time (40 working hours per week)
Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
Reports to: Project Coordinator (PC)

Period: 10 Months
Start Date: Based on fund secure, Expected date: June 2023
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the supervision, follow-up and monitoring of program activities in the field as assigned by the PC.
- Identify key local organizations, and communities to plan and jointly conduct outreach events and activities Coordinate the daily progress of the program activities and provide regular on-site supervision of activities implementation.
- Conduct site visits and apply field visits data collection tools
- Conduct regular field visits to the beneficiaries and host organization.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and undertake monitoring activities.
- Contribute to the development of program work plans.
- Contribute to the identification of potential difficulties and determining means of lessening or avoiding them.
- Documenting all program phases.
- Perform any other tasks assigned.

Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor University degree in Business Administration, Economics, agronomist or related field with at least good grade.
- Minimum two years of progressively responsible work experience in the field of development.
- Significant experience working on humanitarian assistance, livelihoods projects required.
- Good writing and communication skills in both English and Arabic.
- Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to develop progress reports.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word, Excel).
- Demonstrated strengths in relationship management; able to work with diverse groups of people in a multicultural, team-oriented environment.
- Understands and works with local contexts (operational and cultural).
