Job summary:
Bayader in partnership with Catholic Relief Services CRS, is on the process to starts implementation of a project that provides rapid and responsive multi-purpose cash, food assistance, shelter and settlements (S&S), water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and protection support to conflict-affected communities in Gaza. The project’s goal is to ensure that conflict-affected households in Gaza meet their immediate needs and strengthen their capacity to shocks. Given the rapidly evolving emergency and changing security environment, a flexible approach is envisioned to be continually adapted in response to field conditions. The project’s objectives are:
- Conflict-affected households meet their basic needs, including food.
- Conflict-affected households live in safe and dignified shelters with access to WASH services.
- Conflict-affected households have improved wellbeing through psychosocial support activities.
Bayader is seeking highly skilled staff to be hired for the following position:
Position Title: Field Monitors for Distribution (Field Monitors for SWASH) – Part Time (80%)
# of Position Available: 8
Place: Bayader Office, Khan Younis
Reports To: Program Coordinator (PC)
Duration: 8 Months
Targeted Area: Khan Younis Area, currently at Almawassi and subject to change within Khan Younis area per the changed on security context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the distribution of shelter materials (e.g., tents, tarpaulins, construction materials,…etc.) and WASH items (e.g., hygiene kits, water containers, sanitation supplies, ..,etc.).
- Ensure distributions are conducted according to pre-determined schedules, target numbers, and eligibility criteria.
- Verify that beneficiaries receive the correct quantity and quality of materials.
- Gather data on the distribution process, including beneficiary feedback, stock levels, and usage of materials.
- Submit accurate and timely reports on distribution activities, including beneficiary lists and materials delivered.
- Provide post-distribution monitoring to assess the impact of the items and identify any issues.
- Liaise with other team members, including warehouse staff, logistics officers, and community leaders, to coordinate distribution efforts.
- Collaborate with local authorities, NGOs, and other humanitarian actors to ensure coordinated responses.
- Act as a focal point for community queries and concerns regarding distributions.
- Monitor the quality of shelter and WASH items distributed, ensuring they meet project specifications.
- Identify and report any issues with stock quality or supply chain.
- Conduct sensitization and training sessions for beneficiaries on the correct use and maintenance of shelter and WASH items.
- Engage with community members to gather feedback and promote ownership and sustainability of the provided items.
- Ensure all distribution activities comply with donor regulations, humanitarian standards, and organizational policies.
- Uphold the principles of accountability, transparency, and impartiality in all actions.
- Support the implementation of feedback and complaint mechanisms to address beneficiary concerns.
- Carry others tasks requested by Project Coordinator.

Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from accreted university with at least good grade in social sciences, humanitarian studies, public health, engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of
- Experience working within the NGO sector at least 1 years and a strong background in initiating and implementing programs.
- Ability to engage community key figures, potential stakeholders to forge productive working relationships,
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to build effective working relationships with community stakeholders.
- Proven writing skills to prepare quality and analytical reports in English & Arabic.
- Ability to frequently travel to target locations as needed.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available to work with varied schedules including extensive afternoons and weekends as needed.
