Field Officer - Economic Security

The ICRC in Qalqilia is looking for a candidate to fill in the following post

The field officer for economic security, is involved in the identification, implementation and monitoring of various agricultural, Cash for Work or Micro Economic Initiatives (MEI) projects in Qalqilya district. The tasks consist mainly of work in the field, as well as reporting and other office tasks. The selected candidate will work closely with the protection department and within the broader strategy of the ICRC's mission in the context.

Starting date : 1st September 2010

Minimum required knowledge & experience
-University degree in Business administration, Economics, Agronomy or similar fields
-2 years work experience in a similar function
-Good command of written and spoken English
-Good knowledge of geographical assigned environment
-Capacity to apply rules and procedures
-Capacity of treating information confidentially
-Good analytical and reporting skills
-Good computer skills
-Valid driving licence

General Duties & Responsibilities:
-Assists the delegate in running field activities in Qalqilia district.
-Contributes to the assessment, implementation and monitoring of the ICRC projects in Qalqilia
district.
-Maintain contacts with authorities at municipal level, Palestine Red Crescent Society, suppliers,
etc, under supervision.
-Participates in meetings and interprets whenever required.
-Translate documents from Arabic into English ( or vice versa )
-Prepares reports and statistics on activities
