Position, to be based at our Dair Albalah office - Gaza Strip-Palestine.

Main Job Purpose:

The Field Orphan Care Reporter is responsible for collecting and verifying orphans' data, preparing detailed reports on their conditions, and providing media coverage for documented cases in the field. The role requires proficiency in English to convey the orphans' situations effectively, using impactful language to reflect their realities. Additionally, the reporter documents and highlights the orphans' stories in both English and Arabic.

Accountabilities:

• Verify Conditions and Conduct Check-Ups: Initiate the 3rd verification of active sponsored orphans' conditions and begin medical check-ups for all orphans.
• Data Collection and Reporting: Collaborate with team members to gather data, compile insights, and create straightforward reports in English and Arabic on the status of orphans.
• Case Studies and Success Stories: Conduct detailed case studies and develop compelling success stories that highlight individual experiences and resonate emotionally.
• Media Coverage: Provide impactful media coverage for selected beneficiaries, including on-camera interviews and effective narratives that communicate their challenges.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the communications team to ensure cohesive messaging and to share insights and findings effectively.

Experience and Technical Competencies

• Bachelor degree in English Language, Journalism and Media Studies or related fields.
• Minimum of 2 years in similar role in International NGO.
• High proficiency and Fluent in English, Arabic is an asset
• Professional level using MS Excel for data management and MS Office in general.
• Understanding of International Development and Humanitarian Relief.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Remarkable presence in front of the camera.
• Experience in media coverage or storytelling in a humanitarian context.
• Problem Solving and Team worker
