Job purpose summary:
The field coordinator/supervisor role is to provide support to the implementation in projects and activities in Gaza.
Field Supervisor are responsible for the timely completion of work orders and field progress reports. This includes inspecting protective work gear and other equipment used by field workers, coordinating safety training, performing accident investigations
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly
Main Tasks and Duties:
- Conducting extension visits to farms and providing agricultural technical and administrative advice to beneficiaries.
- Researching and promoting agricultural strategies to counter the effects of changes in soil, climate, weather, and pest damage.
- Visiting fields to collect seed, plant, and soil samples.
- Testing samples for nutritional deficiencies, diseases, or other changes.
- Assisting with the plant sourcing, testing, and selection.
- Conduct meetings and discussions with target communities and beneficiaries for various purposes.
- Provide ongoing recommendations to the Field Supervisor enabling him/her to.
- Planning (daily and weekly) of field project activities.
- Field supervision of project implementation.
- Keeping detailed records regarding fields, beneficiaries, crops, and samples.
- Generating reports and presenting findings to management, clients, or other interested parties.
- Conducting training on products and techniques through educational presentations.
- Managing teams of scientists while conducting field visits or laboratory work.
- Developing planting and irrigation schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Assesses crop production of the farm.

Qualifications, Requirements, and Competences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture engineering; Business administration, social worker or any related specialty.
- Minimum 3 years of field supervision work experience
- Proven experience in field supervision or a similar role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems effectively and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills and capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal and representational skills
- Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure effectively and productively;
- Safety and security aware, driven and self-starting, resilient and emotionally intelligent;
- Awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments.
- Very good in spoken and written English, additional languages an advantage.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Publisher, MS Word and Excel)
- He must not be an employee in other institutions
