International Medical Corps (IMC) is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps   's mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance. International Medical Corps has been present in Gaza since 2009.

International Medical Corps is currently recruiting staff to be based in Gaza, for a US Agency for International Development funded project. Gaza 2020: Health Matters is a five-year intervention designed to improve the resilience of the health sector in Gaza by increasing access to and quality of emergency and essential health services provided by NGOs, CBOs, and private providers.

Finance Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of the finance function within IMC Gaza

Main Responsibilities:

-Photocopying and binding
-Controller of stationery and office supplies
-Office needs and guesthouse needs coordinator including utilities and services follow-up.
-Scanning of monthly documents.
-Ensure proper documentation - including requisition, request memos, proforma invoices, bid analysis, cash invoices, purchase orders, stamps (paid/ goods or services received/ delivered) financial transactions
-Prepare payment vouchers.
-Maintain filing of vouchers into separate folders
-Separate and create Excel worksheet for daily cash disbursement request and payment vouchers into CTJs, BTJs.
-Management of petty cash.
-Day to day management of the office I.e. following up and ensuring utilities are paid (telephone, electricity etc.), managing office equipment i.e. photocopier, printers etc.)
-Maintenance, placement and management of international calls.
-Performing any other duties relevant to this position as may be assigned from time to time.
 
Minimum necessary qualifications:

-Bachelor degree in the field of Finance/ Accounting.
-Minimum of 1 years’ Experience working with an NGO.
-Good English writing/speaking.
-Excellent writing and communication skills.
-Good Experience in computer skills (Ms. Office)
