Position Location: Ramallah, Palestinian Territories

Project Summary:
This USG-funded initiative aims to enhance the civilian rule of law and focuses on improving the capacity of local institutions to provide and sustain essential services in accordance with universal standards of justice and human rights.
Position Summary:
Working under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the finance assistant will assist in all of the aspects of the project accounting and financial management, S/he is responsible for processing accounting transactions while adhering to accounting best practices and Creative’s policies and procedures. The incumbent shall adhere to the Palestinian Authority regulations pertaining to VAT and Income Tax deduction at source.
Reporting & Supervision:
This position will report to the Finance Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Finance
- Responsible for verification of all supporting documents for the accounting entries and payments ensuring compliance with Donor and creative’s internal policies.
- Responsible for Preparing Project Staff payroll, allowances, fringe, and Income Tax withholding
- Responsible for data entry and booking the transactions into the accounting System.
- Secure approval, signature, and submit all the payments under the supervision of the Finance Manager
- Responsible for handing checks to suppliers, vendors, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure an accurate and up to date filing system for all financial documentation.
- Prepare VAT Exemption letters and follow-up with the local Authorities for the VAT Exemptions
- Support monthly financial reports, bank reconciliation, and cash flow requests.
- Coordinate with Finance Manager perform any Project Audits.
- Complete additional assignments as needed.
Administrations:
- Maintain updated inventory list logs and additional documentation
- Follow up with the team the Vehicle and Fuel car log.
- Develop and maintain personnel files for long-term project staff, including the receipt of staff timesheets and ensuring timely approval by supervisors
- Follow up the Project Staff Health Insurance applications, mobile lines, and reimbursement
- Assist on the onboarding process
- Collect staff Monthly Time sheets and verify them.
- Complete additional assignments as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required. CPA certification desired
- At Least 3- 5 years of experience in Finance & accounting and organizational, and/or financial support.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
- Arabic and English fluency.
- Prior experience with other international organizations or international-funded projects strongly desired.
