Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. MAP is seeking a Finance Manager who will be responsible for overseeing financial accounting, internal controls, and compliance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions. They manage budgeting, financial reporting, and donor compliance while supporting program teams with financial analysis and decision-making. The role includes leading audits, ensuring adherence to tax regulations, and maintaining effective financial controls. Additionally, the Finance Manager provides financial training to staff, oversees procurement-related financial activities, and manages the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations aligned with organizational policies and donor requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field with proven experience in accounting, auditing, and financial management, preferably in an (I)NGO setting. They have strong analytical, problem-solving, and compliance skills. Fluent in English and Arabic, they excel in people management, collaboration, and communication. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word), attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure are essential. A proactive and adaptable approach to maintaining financial controls and accountability is key to success in this role.
