Finance Officer

Generic responsibilities :

1-Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
2-Ensure Adherence to donors’ financial rules and regulations.
3-Implement delegated finance function portfolio according to plan of action
4-Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
5-Ensure proper filing of documents
6-Promote and share ideas for improvement of the finance function

Specific responsibilities:

1-Follow up with logistics payments supporting documents and deadlines.
2-Revising and Posting Petty Cash & bank transfer payments, making sure all the supporting documents are complete, correct and in compliance with NRC rules and regulations.
3-Post all WB/JRS transactions.
4-Salary posting after receiving project allocations from Finance Coordinator.
5-Responsible for WB partner payments posting after checking all the supporting documents in compliance with NRC rules and regulations.
6-Responsible for weekly/ monthly reconciliation for WB/JRS office banks.
7-Responsible for spot cash check and make sure cash count is taking place on weekly and by the end of the month.
8-Cooperate with finance assistant on filing to ensure adequate serial filling for all finance department.
9-Support with the project and annual audit.
10-Post monthly tax, HI, NI payment slips and other obligation for payments.
11-Draft the donor financial reports.
12-Undertake any other reasonable task assigned by management

Our ideal candidate:

We are looking for a qualified candidate with a bachelor degree in accounting, finance or any related filed. Minimum of three year experience from working as a finance officer in a humanitarian /recovery context. Previous experience from working with main donors. Knowledge of the Palestinian and Israeli financial laws. Good command of English and Arabic, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Hebrew language is preferred.
