Finance Officer

Islamic Relief France / Secours Islamique France is a French based humanitarian international agency was founded in1992 assists the poorest people through it’s emergency & relief, development & child protection programs in over 30 countries wherever humanitarian & social needs exist regardless their race, religion or gender.

Secours Islamique France (SIF) invites application from qualified applicants for the following posts based in SIF’s office in Gaza Strip :

Finance Officer: (Ref #:SIF/GS2011/01/FO)

To be responsible for the provision of a wide range of financial management requirements in a professional and efficient manner .
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Contract Period: One year with possible extension.

Candidates must possess the following competencies:

Essential Competencies for the Finance Officer:

-University degree of finance or accounting;
-Minimum 3 years of related experience in budgeting & grant management ;
-Experience of designing, keeping and working with accurate computerized data is essential,
-Excellent financial report writing and communication skills in financial management;
-Advanced procurement management skills;
-Prior experience with accounting software packages , SAGA is an advantage ;
-Excellent knowledge of computer programs.

 
General Competencies Required:

-Commitment and sympathy to the plight of the poor and disadvantaged;
-Experience of European donor funded projects;
-Experience working for an international agencies ;
-Written and spoken English as well as Arabic, French is a plus;
-Broad knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles as they apply to development  issues;
-Ability to work under pressure, independently, meeting strict deadlines with limited supervision and extra hours;
-Planning & negotiation skills.
