Financial Analyst
In line with the corporate strategy towards bolstering economic development, the Palestine for Development Foundation (PsDF); Palestine Investment Fund (PIF) social Investment Subsidiary, has concluded the Green Energy & Sustainability Granting Facility funded by the EU and PIF, geared towards supporting Small and Medium Enterprises in Jerusalem in respect of the implementation of Sustainable Energy Solutions. In this context, the PsDF is seeking a qualified Financial Analyst to support program implementation, particularly in assessing financing requests (Matching Grants) received by prospective beneficiaries in Jerusalem. The analyst will be based in Ramallah in the company’s headquarters with ongoing field-visits required to Jerusalem and its surroundings. Furthermore, the analyst through the facility life, will be part of the operations team and will support the facility in reviewing applications, meeting applicants, performing field-visits, assessing the cases presented, carrying out needed due diligences and preparing assessments forms with the direct support and supervision from the facility/program manager. The analyst is also expected to support in granting process, follow-up on beneficiaries and help in monitoring and evaluation of the facility. S/he will also coordinate with other team members and departments in related tasks including, finance, reporting, PR and legal tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical, research, and transactions support to the facility’s manager pertaining to received applications.
- Review and analyze financial statements (prepare financial models when needed).
- Be able to build (estimate/predicted) financial statements and models for small scale businesses who lack the sufficient financials and documentation, or for start-ups who are not established yet.
- Prepare assessment forms and presentations.
- Perform regular visits to applicants and beneficiaries through the life of the facility.
- Prepare regular reports to management, facility’s steering committee and donor.
- Provide regular monitoring and supervision over businesses portfolio.
- Prepare regular required documents including memos, assessment forms, models, PowerPoint presentations, timesheets, and proposals.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any other relevant Field.
- Work experience: a minimum of two to three years proven experience working with grant projects and/or consulting in Palestine.
- Proven experience in financial modeling and adequate knowledge of financial statement generation and analysis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Strong quantitative and reporting skills.
- Strong academic records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of Procurement best practices, financial process, and documentation.
- Team Player.
