The French Lycée School in Jerusalem is seeking a qualified and experienced Financial and Administrative Director to join our prestigious educational institution. Position Overview
As the Financial and Administrative Director (DAF), you will assume a critical role in strategically managing and overseeing financial and administrative functions within our school. Reporting directly to the Head of School and as an assistant to the latter, you will lead a dedicated team and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure efficient resource management and operational effectiveness. You will develop financial analysis elements and decision support tools for the head of the institution e.g. (retrospective budget and accounting analyses, prospective project financing studies, cash flow monitoring) and provide necessary insights in the scope of your advisory mission.
Additionally, the DAF will work closely with the school's management committee, ensuring compliance with appropriate legal procedures, and providing monthly reports on financial matters.
As the school is accredited by the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad), you will also be required to respond to various surveys according to the financial and accounting standards practiced in the French education network abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement budgetary policies, assets, financial plans, and internal control procedures in alignment with school objectives.
- Oversee financial management, accounting, procurement, and administrative operations,cash flow monitoring ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Provide leadership in human resources management, including staff planning, recruitment, and professional development initiatives.
- Manage real estate facilities and infrastructure projects, overseeing maintenance, safety compliance, constructions, rehabilitations, and extensions.
- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting, supporting strategic decision-making and resource allocation.

Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial and administrative management, preferably in the educational system.
- Experience in school administration and familiarity with education management systems is an advantage.
- Proven leadership abilities, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Fluency in French and English is required; proficiency in Arabic and/or Hebrew is an asset.
