Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. As part of our commitment to meeting the growing needs of the communities we serve, we're expanding our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with donor agreements and reporting requirements. This includes developing timetables for reporting deadlines, preparing financial reports, and maintaining communication with internal teams to gather necessary data. This role also involves supporting internal and external audits, providing documentation, and monitoring audit recommendations. Additionally, the successful candidate will concentrate on improving financial systems and processes, providing training to staff, and staying updated on accounting standards and regulations.

We’re looking for someone with demonstrable professional experience in finance, accounting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in finance or accounting and will possess an understanding of basic accounting principles. Essential skills include strong communication skills in both English and Arabic, the ability to create and analyse management reports, as well as proficiency in MS Office software.
